CRAZY AUTUMN, Oil/canvas, 36 x 48 in (91.44 x 121.92 cm)

I drew the concept of this painting from the real autumn scenery - a creek in the forest. The branches of maple trees were hanging over the cascading water creating a beautiful curtain of golden leaves, glowing in the low, October sun.  The dynamism of this composition is expressed by the bold brushwork and the use of overlapping ellipses suggesting swift, rotating motion.

FLAMING FLOWERS, Acr/canvas, 40 x 30 in (101.6 x 76.2 cm)

This picture is one of my series of floral compositions. It depicts a bouquet of imaginary flowers whose strange and unique appearance reminds me of wild orchids found in tropical forests. The “hot” colors and dynamic of overlapping petals suggest passion and lust for life.
